Historic Royal Palaces Silhouette Animation Workshop

Lightbox Cinema was commissioned by Kensington Palace, Palace Explorers,  to deliver two silhouette animation workshops at St Mary’s Primary School, North Kensington, London. Over eight workshops we created two animations with the year three pupils and their families, using stories from the Palace’s history. “The Royal Ratcatcher” tells the story of William Hester who freed the Palace of rats when it was first built, and “The Prince Who Would Never Be King” tells the story of Prince William Henry of Denmark who was due to take the Throne but didn’t live beyond the age of 12.
